Density Meters

Our density measuring systems work absolutely non-contacting and non-intrusive. The measurement can be carried out on all liquids and bulk materials, including highly acidic, alkali or saline solutions and suspensions. 

Clamped on the outer wall of the pipeline, chute or vessel the system components do not come into contact with the measured material and are therefore not exposed to wear and tear. You will get process insight from the outside.

All our density gauges provide a maintenance-free operation and can be easily installed on existing pipelines without process down time. The measurement systems are adaptable to all pipelines from 25 to 1000mm.


DuoSeries LB 474 is the new radiometric density system from Berthold based on real 2-wire technology. The density measuring system DuoSeries determines density with high accuracy and repeatability. Due to its outstanding performance, the DuoSeries is the preferred choice when processes are demanding and 2-wire based control room technology is required.

SmartSeries LB 414 is designed for non-invasive determination of product density, concentration, solids content and level switch. The compact detector combines detection and evaluation unit in one system. SmartSeries LB 414 can be used for liquids and slurries of all kinds. In addition to the outstanding accuracy and reproducibility, the system also impresses with its intuitive operating concept. The user interface with display, as well as the software, make calibration and operation of the HART device particularly easy. Parameters can be set either via the control knob on the unit, via a HART communicator, via PC interface or via infrared remote control.
